Give this video of the same rep scheme but with front squats a look for direction with today's workout. You want to be at the heaviest you can be for all six attempts.

  2. I went from excited to terrified and back to excited about this one.

Great work, Frank and Brian H--and everyone at 6am. I hope I was a good partner.

    399, 328, 418, 264, 440, 220.

Very happy with this. I thought fatigue would ruin me for the singles, but fortunately it didn't. I probably could've gone a little heavier on the high-rep sets, but I was pretty exhausted by the end so I don't think I went TOO easy on myself.

  4. Paul, you were a great partner. Thanks to you and Frank for pushing me.

    374, 308, DNF, 230, 330, 208

Disappointed in my 1 Reps. Attempted 384 in the seconds "round" and couldn't get past a couple inches. Dropped and same result. Back off on third to 330. The high-rep sets felt good....especially the 230# X 20.

    Great job 6am!

  6. High rep heavy DLs are no joke!

    My weght sceme was: 330-264-340-230-350-198.

I think i was seeing spots for the last 5 reps on the round of 30.

Great working with you today Joe. You definitely can pull more weight than you did today!

  8. 308, 220, 313, 198, 318, 164. Quite a ways off from my all-time 1RM of 354 but what can I expect when I hardly deadlift anymore. There's probably a lesson in there somewhere. Nice work 6am.

  10. This may be one of my all-time favorite workouts, even though I missed my last 1 rep set!
    Went 364-304-384-242-missed 404-198.
The set of 20 took the most out of me. The 404 felt like I was picking up a house! Guess this means I need to put more time back in the basics...
Set of 30 damn near made me puke as my head and neck cramped around rep 20, but kept going through all 30. Not sure what was up with that. Kept my head in a nice neutral spot the whole time.
Thanks for working with me Corey and Jeff!
Nice being back at 6AM and seeing alot of the old crew. Everyone was doing some good work!

  12. Got an extended weekend from school in SD to be able to drop in with the nooners! CFO makes me happy! Glad I got the chance to make it in today.
Paired up with Cam and Abby - both of which did awesome!
    164, 132, 186, 118, 196, 113 = ouch but felt appropriate for me.
    total 909

Thanks for the extra coaching today Rick!

Good to see everyone and will be back for noon class tomorrow before I head back.

I was curious what the outcome would be with this workout. I had to tell myself to pick numbers that were realistic on the higher reps sets. As time progressed my sets felt better. For me the last set was the least difficult.

Small, but mighty noon class today.

  16. Nice work Paul. Those numbers were quite intimidating when I saw the board.

  18. 191, 169, 203, 132, 213, 103

Which, yes Kelli, was a 5# PR. I'm wearing the purple socks all the time now! Of course it could also be that Jon brought his A game tonight.

Those high rep sets really sneak up on you. Kinda tricksy!

Really fun working with Crystal tonight and a great 6:30 class!

  20. 197-141-207-131-231-121

I now have a 1RM, pretty excited about that.

I was worried about the high rep sets, but I did all unbroken.

    Pretty happy with this today.

    Great 5 am class!!

  22. Yay Jenn!!! I told you you would PR :-)

    I loved this workout. Loved.
    264,198,274,164 (broke it into 15/5), 284 (PR!), 130
