Handstand Pushup Challenge: 19 reps

This Saturday we will only be holding a class at 8 am. The reason being that our very own Kelli Lambert will be participating in a Power-Lifting competition at the Mid-America center starting at 9 AM. She will be in the first group of lifters and I want to take a caravan of people over to watch and support her. If you are in there will be a sign-in sheet located at the front desk so that I can get a head count as to how many people want to go.

This is a great opportunity for everyone to see a sanctioned power-lifting competition including the squat, bench press, and dead-lift, in that order. I hope that you guys would be interested in this and take the chance for us to show up in numbers, wearing CrossFit Omaha shirts, to show your support for Kelli, a fellow CrossFitter.

We will work out at 8 AM and leave for the MAC shortly after 9. Bring clothes to change into as, obviously, we have showers for you to use. Make sure you sign-in.

  4. DNF w/ 99# deadlift but then finished anyway. I think about 1/2 my time was spent on box jumps; I hate them! Great job to everyone at 6am and I'm excited to cheer for Kelli on Sat!
  5. Cari Says:
  6. I forgot ... I did 24 reps of everything.
  7. Kelli Says:

  12. what the crap was that?!?!? this was by far the worst workout for me in a long time. I thought i was going to vomit just doing the broad jumps! did 21 reps of everything and dead lift was 132# (i think...i can't do math today). I thought i was going to puke the entire time and was super dizzy for a good 45 minutes after the workout....so i had to lay back down at home and go to work late :) Great job today 6 a.m.ers! you guys all kicked some serious butt!

  14. Finished right around 17:00, 18 reps of everything. The deadlifts killed me for some reason they were really heavy from the start. Good job everyone.

  16. Guys got lucky, I re-measured the 50 yard distance and saw that everyone's jump this morning was short by 3.5 mats.

With the correct distance jumping, 18 reps.

    deadlift - 200 pounds
goblet squat - 50 pound db

    Time: 9:04

(You guys lucked out big time, my lower back is screaming. Walking around like I own a bubble butt.)
  17. hannah eileen Says:
  18. Thank God we missed those last 3.5 mats. I had to do 16 reps for everything and I think I finished somewhere around 11:09. I really enjoyed this workout. My legs haven't are going to be screaming in the morning. Great job 6am!
  19. John W Says:
  20. This one was pretty cool. Too bad about the distance, I'll just have to put an asterisk by the time or something.
    16* broad jumps
164 lb DL (Maybe I should have gone higher?)
    8:52*
Awesome crew this morning! It was a full house and everyone was laying down some solid work. Keep it up!

  22. I guess i'll just have to do that one again sometime. my glutes are already really sore. i am going to go sacrifice a chicken to them and hope it helps.

  26. Tovar- no way you did that in 14 jumps!

I finished in just over 10 at 132# DL and 17 reps.
I really liked this workout... I usually like this kind.
Great job to everyone this morning!

  28. Thank goodness you remeasured before the noon class. I would have been terribly dissapointed. As it is, DNF for me. 20 reps for me, got through 10 of the last round of DL (97# i believe). The most I've lifted at all - ever. My broad jumps felt good, but my box jump... eh, not so much. I was dissapointed I didn't finish, but I realize I should not miss 5 days again. Great job nooners! You all kick butt!

  32. Joe C. you're an animal on those broad jumps! Nice work evening crew (5:30pm), everyone turned up the juice tonight. :-)

    As "Super RX'd" 9:59
    Wt = 181lbs / Used = 198lbs for WOD
Used 40lb dumbbell for the squats
    14 broad jumps = 14 reps
Good times... but not for my back!

  33. Anonymous Says:
  34. 17 reps
    143lb DL
    20lb gobble squats
no idea what my time was, my fear of box jumps got the best of me today, crashed and burned with 5 left, so i was just happy to finish. Great job everyone!
  35. Gdawg Says:
  36. how many deadlifts do you think we have done in the past month!?! I completed the workout with 16 reps in 13:57. body weight dead lifts are a bitch...but i felt stronger on them today than i did during "christine". GREAT job 6:30 class....i get my new work schedule tomorrow and im praying that i'll still be able to come to evening classes a couple times a week...otherwise i will be joining the 6am crew...couldn't believe the turnout you guys had today...so exciting!!! see ya'll tomorrow!!

  38. I guess you call it Super RX'd? Who knew.
    15 broad jumps
Weight 115 lbs, used 125# for DL
    30# squats.
Finished in the low 8:00's I think?
Way to finish those box jumps, Jill! Great job 6:30, though we get no props. I still say 5:30 and 6:30 blow everyone away in the morning. Whatever! :-)
  39. Anonymous Says:
  40. 14 broad jumps
    186# for the DL
    35# DB for the squats
    Finished in 9:48.

This was a real leg and back killer and I had to rest much more than I wanted to, especially on the box jumps.
  41. Anonymous Says:
  42. I did this at 24 Hour, and kind of took an average of what people were writing for my reps, I did 20! I finished in 13:40. Used 20lbs for goblet squats. I dont think the box was as high as the gym has but it worked and did 125 for deadlifts.
  43. Anonymous Says:
  44. I did 153lb deadlift which is 25 over bodyweight and used 30 lb dumbbell for the goblet squat and did an extra round of walking lunges.......still cannot count ;)

    15 reps of everything
