  2. I liked "You Need Me." Because I'm one that needs someone yelling at me to get my a** going. I can't attend a commercial gym and get a good workout because it's boring. Think about it...the movie 300, back in those days everyone was ripped, in shape, not because they wanted to, they had to be to survive. Now we just commute in cars, order at drive thrus, and are a lazy generation. I am one of the laziest people you will ever meet! But since I started Crossfit I have almost made a life change. I feel different, act different, and am leaving my "pu**y status". I've noticed I can withstand more pain, and I've greatly increased my stamina and strength. You're right, we do need you Ricky and Joe. With out you guys I'd still be the lazy chubby pile who only went to the gym maybe twice per week like I was before Crossfit!

  4. That's so funny that you mentioned "300" Mel because as I was reading this article I kept thinking that all it was missing was "This...Is...SPARTA!!!" If anyone needs any extra movtivation, besides what Ricky and Joe have been throwing at us, just try doing a workout next to Libby. When she gets done before you (which she will) she is on your a$$. At least that's how it was for me on Saturday. Thanks Libby, I appreciated it.

I am pretty sure my thruster form didn't look great this morning, especially towards round 4 and 5. And having to clean it back up 3 times every round sucked a lot! If I was only strong enough to do 7 at a time.....
And I don't think anyone would call my hops "broad jumps".

  12. yeah, Kahrs! Well done, brother!

  14. Humility by Crossfit.
At the beginning of the workout Jeff thought it would be a good idea not to post our times until after the 5:30 class started so as not to set a bar for them (namely Zach). However, I doubt it will be hard for any of them to beat this time.

  18. Wouldn't it be nice if we could all leave work when we wanted to and hit the gym at our "peak" times?? The time when you felt the most energy - which for me is normally around 10AM or even 11 would be awesome. Life just isn't fair ;)

So we are all forced to workout either super early, during dinnertime or when our bodies are ready to unwind. Craziness - too bad life isn't built around fitness instead ;)

ok the article was good too - - if only I could bring a spear to work...
  19. Chad Says:
  20. I second that Reba. My job gets in the way of a lot of things!

I wonder if there is some weird benefit that comes from working out when aren't at our best though.

  22. Congrats Karhs thats awesome.

I was reading this article and AC/DC came on and I got a little too motivated and yelled at a girl doing a half ass squat. She cried and left but I think she got the message.

O ya as you can see I am obviously bored at work and if you havent seen this gym check it out. Its called Anti-Gym. (Vanity comes to mind)

    Peace yall see you sometime.

  36. 12:15 87lbs...OOOOWEEEEE!! that was a tough one!! grunting helps on those thrusters!! the front squat was the hardest part for me...towards the bottom it was difficult to keep my elbows up and stay upright...jumps were SLOW for me but all in all I was satisfied with that workout! GOOD ONE!! great job today everyone!!

  40. only did 77 pounds, but thats 20 lbs. more than i did last time we did thrusters. My time wasn't very good though....10:34. the hardest part for my was trying to grip the bar because of these nice tears in my hands. I was trying to hold the bar in my fingers which was not the best idea and kept having to set it down. awesome job 6:30...especially megan! that was awesome you hussie!!
  41. Anonymous Says:
  42. I did 82lbs in about 10:50-11 mins. Those thrusters suck, but not as much as dropping the bar after 3 thrusters & then having to pick it back up...that's sucks. Who knew I needed work on picking up the bar :). Thanks Zach for encouragement for my last 2 rounds. Way to finish so fast!

I will be @ 12 tomorrow to see what all the hype is about

  44. Thanks, everyone the Cert. was a great time got a lot of good infomation. Most of it is just reinforcement of what Joe and Ricky tell us everyday.

Everyone at 5:30 was working hard and it was a huge class. I took a rest day and did a little work on HSPU's and TGU's.
  45. BC Says:
  46. 10:45, scaled to 120#. The more I think about it the more dissatisified I become with my performance tonight. I feel like I should've sacrificed some time and gone a little heavier. I'll probably try this again on a rest day.

Great job 5:30 class, it looked like a phalanx of Spartan soldiers all lined up in there tonight (yes it's a word, look it up).
  47. Mark Says:
  48. 9:37 Rx'd... thrusters are my kryptonite but I will definitely be there every time they show up on the WOD.
  49. V Says:
  50. so it turns out i make up my own numbers sometimes...i only did 73 pounds yesterday....and i'm still blaming it on my hands.

Thanks For Visiting!
