WOD
4 rounds for time of:
5 Clean and Jerks, 198#/131#
400 meter run

This workout is meant for you to take it up a notch with the heaviness. You need to be around 70% plus of your 1RM (up to 198#/131# anyways) for you to get the most out of this workout.

Scaled weights are:
176#/114#
154#/104#
132#/92#
110#/77#

There is a 15 minute cut-off for this workout.

Post time to comments/LogWod.

The gym will be closed this Monday, May 31st in observance of Memorial Day. A time to give thanks and send out prayers to our service men and women who have given their lives in exchange for our country's freedom.

The silent auction will end at approximately 12PM on Saturday, May 29th. If you wish to place that last bid, you will have to do so with a little elbow shoving. For example, the Marriott package is worth well over $500 and the bid stands at $200. You can use them in Norway if you wish or Canada. All bids on Saturday must be placed in person.

Right now we have had only two people purchase raffle tickets. I believe that they have placed all their marbles in either the DJ for a month or for a parking spot right next to the front door. I think I overheard the preference of Tchaikoskvy's classical masterpieces if they won the raffle. Are you gonna let that happen?

The prices are 1 ticket for $10, 3 for $25, or 7 for $50. Place them in any box you want.

  4. Good times, Good times. Huff and Puffer...I promise I'll never write that again. ;-)

15:02ish with 154# Cleans got better as the workout went on but still need work. Felt like I push pressed most of the Jerks (is that possible?).

Happy Memorial Day Weekend Everyone! See ya Tuesday,

  6. DNF Rx'd

clock was at 14:00 when I took off for the last run. I don't like DNF's......but I did like this WOD. I still need to work on technique for both clean and jerk. Like Brian, I push press more than I jerk.

Great to see 6 a.m. crew again!!

Have a great Memorial Day weekend!!

  10. DNF- 3 rounds + 1 C&J, glad to get the running done early while it is still cool.

I will be celebrating my birthday tonight at Legend's (right off I-680 at the Irvington exit) around 8pm. Everyone is invited to come out and help celebrate!

  12. I did this wod last night with GDawg...

    Rx'd 12:43.

The C&J felt good...the 3rd round was the Worst! Running with that sun beating down UP HILL really sucked ass but closing my eyes and focusing on my breathing really helped. Thank god there weren't any cars.....

C&J felt better the further into the workout I got - I always finally feel warmed up right at the end. Dogged the runs like crazy - just didn't have it there mentally. But I think that helped me stay fresh for the C&J.

  16. 15:15-15:30"ish" clock was off when I ran back through the doors.. used 92#. Heavy for me. Running was slow paced today because my left ankle is slowly trying to rot off my body! Shoulda, woulda, wish I coulda pushed much harder on the running!
It was HOT! My face is still tomato red!
    Great big class 4:30 :)

  18. Man, I need to make up some of these WODs but after damn near keeling over Monday night at strength class, I figured this week I'd stick with the class stuff and maybe throw in a WOD or two on off days next week.
Did 252 on the squat sets, 128 on press and 176 on power cleans. Thanks for working with me Rob. And Ricky, I will now never forget where to start my jump on power cleans. Thanks man.
    Oh, and Happy Birthday Gina!

  20. To take a quote from Addi, "Good and heavy." Fear of dropping this on your head is a good motivator for form. DNF but happy with the effort. 2 c&j and a 400 short. No way I could have done this 6 months ago.

Thanks For Visiting!
