Just a reminder that there will be no classes today or tomorrow as Joe and I are both out of town for the weekend. Sorry for the inconvenience. Regularly scheduled classes will resume on Monday. Although today is a rest day, some of you are on a different schedule and therefore may want to workout. Joe and I have spoken to some of you about getting some guys together and working out as a group at the school today on the track and then maybe again tomorrow in Elmwood park (be sure to wear your CrossFit Omaha shirts if that's the case). I think that it would be a great opportunity for you guys to get together, minus Joe and I, and workout. You may just even want to play ultimate med ball (find a soccer ball or something of that nature) as we did not too long ago during a rest day. I will leave the choice up to you that decide to show up as to what your workout will be today. As for Saturday, I will post a workout that requires no equipment so that you may do it on your own or as a group. Have a great weekend and we'll see you all on Monday. Be sure to post what you did, if anything, to the comments section.
Happy Birthday Mel!Similar to Alison, Melissa has been with us for quite some time (close to one year). I still remember (I think I still have them) the first few emails she sent me inquiring about joining CrossFit. She has come a long way since that time and is still amazing us everytime she comes in. It is good to have you back in Omaha Mel, hope you had a great time last night celebrating.
Have a good summer. As we welcome Mel back from Arizona we say bye to Kylie as she heads off to Springfield, MO for the summer. In the last few months you have really come on and broken through in terms of your potential. It's absolutely amazing to see some of your accomplishments, especially knowing where you were at when you first came to us. You better workout consistently while you are gone because there will be some testing when you get back, just kidding. Anyways, have a good trip and we'll see you in August.
WODRest Day!
How about a game of ultimate med ball?
Good news is, only 9 days left of work for me, and I think the majority of my late nights are over. So if all goes well, I should be back with a vengeance next week!
Also, welcome back Mel! Hope you had a wonderful birthday!!!
I would prefer going to the UNO field or Elmwood as opposed to ConAgra because I will bring Abby.
Hope to see a lot of you tomorrow morning!
