This week was a great week for CrossFit Omaha. Joe and I accomplished a lot in terms of what we want for our clients. We saw a dire need to make a decision that goes against what CrossFit stands for. This is the desire to improve all aspects of fitness without comprising any aspect alone. We made a decision to forego some aspects of fitness in order to address the king component of fitness, which is strength. Strength is the base for all fitness. The lack of strength bears its ugly face within the nine other components of fitness. Weak body and agility suffers, speed suffers, power suffers, balance suffers, and so on. So we took the week and slowed everything down and focused on high weights and rest between sets. I give everyone of our clients two thumbs up in terms of effort. You won't see the results now but give it a couple of weeks, along with the strength days ahead and workouts won't be so daunting. We may even get more clients to be able to handle prescribed weights. Nevertheless, great job and keep up the good work. We have come a long way from day 1.
WODRest. Rest. Rest.
Enjoy some Sunday football, time with the One above, time with family, or just a good day collecting yourself and thinking of all that you have accomplished.
