WOD
21-18-15-12-9 rep rounds for time:
Front Squats, 165 pounds
Slap Pushups
Prescribed weight for gals is 105 pounds. For the slap pushup, follow in the same pattern as a regular pushup, touching the body to the ground, but as you drive out of the bottom leave the ground and slap your hands onto your chest in mid-air.
You may scale by either doing clap pushups, leaving the ground without either clapping or slapping, regular pushups, or either of the previous three while doing them on your knees or with a band.
Post time to comments.
Either Amanda has lost a contact or she is bear crawling. Tough call.

Okay, so here are the results from the "Cindy" challenge. There were two categories from which people could have placed in the top three. A most rounds completed category and the most improved category. The results are as follows:

Which brings us to our next challenge. There is no entry fee for this one as it is a mini-challenge. This challenge is called the 50 Day Handstand Pushup Challenge. This friday before the actual WOD, we will grab a baseline for everyone that comes in. This baseline is one set of as many handstand pushups as possible. From here, you will follow in a fasion of doing one hspu the first day, two the second day, three the third day and so on until day 50 in which you will do 50. There are many rules that this challenge as well as yourself will adhere to in order for it to be reliable and valid.
Click here for the the actual rules and regulations. Please read carefully so there is little confusion come this Friday.
Monday WOD - rec'd 9mins.
Also...I am going to die tomorrow...definitely not going until the afternoon! I need to mentally prepare! :o) Haha.
So 4 for open gym or 5:30 for class it is!
Thank you so much for tonight Ricky! I've started to learn hang power snatches!
this was a sinister one--i always forget that front squats exhaust my shoulders.
17:10 scaled to plyo pushups, but otherwise Rx'ed.
nice job--that was a huge 6am class coming in to do a miserable WOD. well done!
...also i'm in for the challenge and i think we should do the burpee challenge too!
Never been happier to not have to walk up or down any stairs at work! Also, have never been more excited for a rest day!
Great work 6am class. I am pretty sure there are more people at 6am than at 5:30 now. Keep it up.
Time was called just as I wanted to start my first squat of the 9 round. This one kills the shoulders, I only did leaving the ground PU's. Great work everyone.
What a killer. Nice work everyone this morning. What a crew!
have fun today guys. its a great one. 6 am is the best time to work out. what now 5:30?
nice work everyone -
As RX'd 16:26
Brandon
Hannah, I'd love to laze about in the mornings and join yoiu for a leisurely WOD at 6, but sadly I'm already at work by then. The REAL early-risers work out at 5:30. WHAT. NOW.
Speaking of 5:30, I'll be there tonight - shoulder's a little goofy tonight - not sure if I should do a lighter load or something else entirely. Or maybe it will feel better by then. Magically.
I am most definitely resting tomorrow, see everyone Friday. And I am pumped about the HSPU challenge. Later crackas.
This was tough. Pushups slowed me down the most. I'm finding it harder and harder to keep myself motivated. Way to go 6:30. You did awesome.
I'm w/you b christ, it is definately a rest day tomorrow. My legs feel like jelly!

add this one to the list:
"It's like your tea-bagging the floor."
Rec'd weight and clapping pushups. I DNF by 9 clapping pushups. Thx Ricky for counting down loudly on those last 9 - what a b*tch that was! Thank god everyone was too busy to notice how loudly I was grunting....ridiculous
Libby ruined this one as usual, always nice to have her kickin *ss by your side :)
Hannah I was thinking about Ricky's teabag comment from yesterday too when bc suggested a shirt :)
Libby you kicked that WOD's arse..nice work!! Thanks for pushing me at the end.
megan
great job everyone!
Jill
Great work 5:30... that was a lot of weight being moved tonight!
I love the noon class! Great job today.
I hadn't had a good crying-workout since UNO - I hope I didn't scare anyone off who hasn't seen me do that before! :) I think my body was just out of energy - been fighting off this cold and not sleeping well. I had nothing left in me.
