Fundraising Fun

Ricky Frausto Filed Under:

We had a lot of fun, tore some hands, but raised enough money to purchase 7.5 cooling vests. What are these vests I am speaking of? Well, click on this link for more information as to what is being sent to the service men and women in Iraq and Afghanistan. To those of you that participated, job well done.

  2. Slightly injured my hammi in yesterdays "Rest" sprints, so today I did Hang-Clean and Push-Press instead of C&J. 30 reps at 135lbs.

Tomorrow is the last day to sign up for the Papillion Duathlon. Zack J, Zach R, Steve have all committed..who's next?! There have got to be some CF ladies up for the challenge. How about Ricky or Joe?
The address for the entry form is below:

  4. 6:30 Rx'd

It still bothers my shoulder to lower the weight from overhead so I did them one at a time dropping the weight each time. Next time I will shoot for under 6 minutes.

  6. Um today I was extra special. My back was still sore from the kettleball swings on Wednesday. Really hurt to bend over to pick up the bar, so Joe made some changes for me. I used a 25# bar, and did hang cleans and push press. Did 60 of them. Not sure the time. I only have one back so I figure I should take care of it.

OH BTW 6am is not too bad!

  8. so i got up to 85# in the warm-up, but i decided that was really heavy, so i only did 75# for the workout. my time was 7:15, then, since i have the day off work, i spent some time working on other stuff like tricip-dips, pistol squats, knees to elbow, ect.

  10. 9:25 as Rx'd. Again the WOD felt better than the warmup.

  12. Jeff-
I'm actually doing the duathlon as part of a team. But you're right, it is a great distance to start with for your first race. And if anybody needs a bike for the race, let me or Dave know.

  16. 5:37 as Rx'd. Last time was 5:59, so I'm pretty happy with that. Nice job, noon people! I don't know much about that 6am crowd, but I know we're way cooler...

  18. I have to say that the 3:00 class kicked some ass today!!
5:15 with 87 lbs..... which I thought was really heavy- so way to go Mel!

  26. As RXed 7:26, not as good as I wanted but not as bad as it could have been. Looks like everyone did great, the 7 class was going fast for sure.

  28. 4:06 with 77 - obviously, I should have gone heavier, but it really felt pretty good. I like this one a lot. Learning to find that line between pacing too much and pushing too hard. I think I would have done fairly well with another 10-15... Rxed might not have been a disaster, either. Next time...

  30. I came in at 7:03 buuuut that was starting at 110# and then dropping down to 88# after 9 lower back-killing reps - I'm still pretty sore after Wednesdsay's session. The good news is I feel like I'm starting to find a little bit of a groove and am getting past the whole "I'm new" thing and starting to push myself more. I think I could've stayed at 110# if I had used better technique. The technique and my weak upper body strength are still my biggest liabilities but I'm getting there, I think. See y'all on Monday!

  32. 10:20 something... started with 87lbs, and dropped to 77. I really liked this one, and though my weights and time were miserable, I feel like I got a lot out of this. Way to go Mel, with 93lbs!
I have to agree with Paul, the noon class is THE COOLEST!

  34. 77 lbs at 4:58....that was a good one, I liked only having to focus on one thing at a time....next time probably heavier...Addi you did freaking awesome!!! I just remember trying to keep up with the pink taco next to me! Man was he zipping along :)

Thanks For Visiting!
