An example of a proper warm-up from Brian McKenzie of CrossFit Endurance. Remember, mobility work is not a warm-up. It might be a component of warming up but it, by itself, is not.

As I've said many times, a proper warm-up involves you being sweaty before you start the workout and not because of the workout. Your performance will thank you (as well as your soft tissues).

  2. I love a good warmup. And I have always found that I am significantly faster when I get my heart rate up really high in the warmup. That's why I love rowing as a warmup.
