  10. Congrats Brian and Jess!!!

Did Heavy Fran (95#, added extra clips to get there) with CTB pullups: 6:36

Thrusters unbroken, CTB were sets of 3 in first round, then one set of 2 and the rest all singles.....my plan was to do sets of 3 all the way through, but that didn't last. Since I was reduced to doing singles, I tried to make sure I got right back on the bar each time without resting.

Thanks Steve for pointing out that Heavy Fran is 15-12-9 and not 21-15-9!

It was good to have 5 of us doing this WOD this morning. Missed you Dave :(

    Great job everyone!!

  12. Made up yesterdays WOD. OHS-77#. These got easier as I went. Last set felt the best! Probably could have gone heavier. 8:38 on met con. Used 121# on DL...went unbroken. I tried the slapping pushups and did 3 then did regular for rest. PU's were unbroken until last 2 rds then it was 6/4.

Everyone else did Heavy Fran....uggg! Great job to you all!!

And a huge Congrats to Jess and Brian!

  14. Heavy Fran = Heavy Sigh = 9:20.

You missed a good one this morning, Dave L.

Btw, I'm having serious shoulder difficulties lowering weight from lock-out overhead. I know, I know... for thrusters I should ride the bar down into squat position. But sometimes I need to rest on shoulders.

I had a similar problem when we were doing Push Press recently. Throwing heavy weight up was the easy part, constantly lowering it was a painful grind.

Maybe working on slow negatives from overhead with a light weight? Or more flexibility in shoulders?

  26. Congratulations beautiful baby!

After injuring my back yesterday during Deadlifts I decided to do Saturday's workout. Pause Bench Press 3-3-3-3-3 reps. Worked up to 250 for my last set the weight felt pretty good and my back was not angry at me so that was a good thing.

  30. that is one cute little bundle of joy!!
  31. BC Says:
  32. Paul, by "little bundle of joy" I assume you actally mean "ninja assassin in training." And thanks.

In all seriousness, Jess and I would like to sincerely thank everyone for your well wishes. It has been overwhelming and this is exactly the kind of thing people are referring to when they talk about the commnity of CrossFit.
Jess and Erin are both doing great. Jess was amazing during her 8 and a half hours of labor and Erin is a little warrior. It sounds like we are all coming home tomorrow morning and we couldn't be happier.

Again, thank you all so very much.

Thanks For Visiting!
