Snatch 1RM

Find your 1 rep max snatch. This is from the ground and caught in a full squat. Remember to wear your knee highs.

These next couple of weeks will be important as all the 1 rep maxes come up. We need you to make it in and get these numbers so that we can use them when we change the programming up again. Don't be left out in the cold not having your 1 rep maxes.

    68# for 1RM which was my last PR for snatch so I am happy with that

    Thanks for the coaching Joe....technique is huge on this one and I have alot of work to do.

    That being said, 125# is a PR for me.

    That was a new PR by 15 lbs! I just kept going up by 5lbs and never hit failure so I might have been able to go up a little more. I'm pretty stoked!!

    Starting to taper off...
    Worked through the warm ups I put together for the meet then had one try at my opener on a different platform..
    Warm Ups - 110,154,174,189,198(Missed)
    Opener - 209 - Got it!

    Snatch Pulls - 243 X3X1

    KB Swings (70#) 3X15
    Strict CTB Pull Ups - 25 Total
    - Did 10,8,7

    Same Set up but with C/J tomorrow then I'll taper down using a percentage of my opening weights..
    Monday.. 90%, W-85%, Thurs-80% Fri-Off

  14. I feel left out of the 6am shenanigans. Great noon class, though!

    No PR for me. I did some snatch pulls at 198 and Jon said I was getting them easily to chest level. Just need to work on a more solid catch.

  16. Good news bad news. The good news is I got a 12# PR today. The bad news is I increased my PR to a measly 110#. Oh well, at least it has 3 digits in it now. It's definitely a matter of technique - between my OH squat and my clean I know I'm strong to get more, I just need to learn it. Nice job 4:30 crew and happy 4th to everyone, don't lose any fingers.
