AMRAP in 15 minutes:
5 Chest 2 Bar Pull ups
10 Burpees (minus the jump)
15 Box Squat Jumps, 20 inch box

Burpees are just like regular burpees, with the only change being that instead of jumping into the air, you only come to a fully standing position.

Treat the box jumps like a squat clean. Jump and land on the box in a squat or squat after you land, either way, the crease of your hip must pass below your knee joint. You must then stand all the way up, either while on the box or in the air, just like the normal box jump rule.

I have provided some tentative dates for the next Basic Barbell group training. I have also provided information on the different barbell groups I will be planning on offering with an explanation of each.

I would like to allow those that are interested, to continue on their path toward improved strength by offering intermediate and advanced courses. I hope to evolve these groups into educational pieces as well. A chance for some to learn how to program, teach, and correct movement.

  8. scaled with reg. kipping PUs trying to pull high as I could - 175 reps. PUs and no jump Burpees felt fine, but by round 3 of those box squats my legs were pretty shaky! fun wod though :)

  18. 190 reps rx'd. Not at all pleased with that. I wanted at least 7 rounds (210 reps) and came up just short. Not sure what the deal was, I was just struggling. Nice work 4:30.

    I had an amazing crossfit day. I almost didn't come in, but I knew I'd regret missing, so I came in. Ended up doing jerk 1RM and got 208 (about 20# PR). Then:

    12-9-6-3
    hang power snatch (132)
    ring dips

    9:40

    Last time I did that weight of HPS was AMRAP in 8 min at the team tryouts, and I only got 17 reps. Progress feels amazing.
