Ricky Frausto Filed Under:
WOD
For time:
100 Double Unders
50 Cleans (164#/110#)
100 Double Unders

You can do 600 single unders or 30 burpees in place of double unders but both are considered scaled. For the cleans, you can squat clean, power clean, or split clean. Use a clean that will allow you to use the closest to prescribed weights. Scale reps if you have to.

  8. Did Rx'd in 13:56. DU's were working for me today and the cleans felt pretty good.

Great job once again 6 a.m. crew!!

  10. Did the workout as Rx'd but DNF. Completed 100 DUs, 50 cleans, and 35 DUs in 20 mins. Cleans felt heavy today.

  12. I sub-ed 600 singles for double unders so that I had a chance of finishing. I think I could get 200 double unders if the time cut off is 4 hours 87# for the cleans, finished in 19:49.

"nothing good comes without work and a certain amount of pain" -Henry Rollins. (The proverbial nail on the head right there.)

Henry Rollins/Chuck Norris, Chuck Norris/Henry Rollins.... hmmmmm......

  18. Rollins rules! Anyone who admits to listening to ballads while working out is a tough SOB! My performance this morning was the drizzling sh*ts! Double-unders felt good when I was warming up, then the concept left my mind during the WOD. Got through the 1st 100 and the cleans as RX'd at the 20 min. mark. Gives me something to work on during my rest day.

  22. 18:24 for metcon, DU's and 77# for cleans. DU's slowed me down like always.

Amanda gave me a little motivation by telling me what my mother (Vicky) lifted in the 5am class. I can't let my 56 year old mother lift more than me. ;u)

    Great job 6am peeps.

  24. scaled with 600 singles, and 82# power cleans. Made it through first 600 SUs and all 50 cleans, but time was called when I was at 307 SUs - damn! almost made it :)
by the way... 600 SUs was a pain in the ass... felt like they took forever to knock out! I need to invest in my own jump rope to get better at DUs!
    Great work nooners

  26. Anytime I see or hear Henry Rollins the first thing I think of is "LIIAARRRR!!!" Beavis and Butthead? Anyone??? Ok then...

This was a good read. It reminded me of a story I heard once about Sylvester Stallone. As a kid, he was very shy, awkward, skinny and weak, and when he first started working out his equipment was cinder blocks tied to a broomstick. But he took the confidence he gained from transforming himself, both physically and mentally, and used it to become one of the most successful and famous movie stars fo all time. And people bag on Sly all the time, but they seem to forget that he didn't just star in "Rocky" but he also wrote and directed too, and that movie won an Oscar.

I'm not sure what point I'm trying to make here, I just liked the article. And I love "Rocky." And CFO. And puppies. And really heavy cleans, they're pretty cool too.

  28. 12:30 rx'd. I loved this one. I should have tried to string some of the cleans together instead of doing them one at a time.

  30. hey I did the deadlift max from wed and finished at 385.I didnt do as much as I wanted but is always good to move heavy weights. I am off for the next few days. Have fun at the med ball game I wish I could be there.
    Donohoe is on a beach........

  32. 12:55 rx'd. My doubleunders were a little off, but power cleans are what you might call "my thing", so I made up some ground there. I would do this one every day, if Ricky would let me.

BC = puppy kicker, and we all know it.

  34. I didn't go rx'd but am very happy with my time. Finished at 14:23. My double unders were much better in the 2nd round, weird. Great job 4:30!
  35. BC Says:
  36. Dammit Addi! What the hell!?!? I let the skinny bastard comment go because, well, I am. But puppy kicker???
  37. Addi Says:
  38. Sometimes the truth hurts, BC.

    Re: skinny bastard
That's what Joe called it - I assumed you had started it. Because that's your style.

Thanks For Visiting!
