______________________________________

If you haven't already heard, this Saturday we are hosting an Ultimate Med Ball tourney. It is one hell of a workout and a lot of fun. I hope that a lot of you are interested in showing up and putting your CrossFit skills to sport.

We are looking to play from 9:15AM to 11:15AM (please be there no later than 9AM) at UNO's Al F. Caniglia field (football field). If you aren't interested in playing, classes will be run at 8AM, 9AM, and 10AM as usual.

There is a link under CrossFit Omaha Events for everyone, that plans on attending, to sign-up. Please sign-up as soon as possible so that we can get a count on who is going to be there.

  4. Went in this morning and did a variation of yesterday's burpee/thruster wod, doing 2 thrusters @ 135# every minute, w/ no burpees, for 20 min.

Ultimate med ball is an absolute blast! I need to work out some logistics to see if I'll be able to make it this year but I highly recommend you go if you can.

  6. Made up the burpee/thruster WOD. 20 minutes was the cutoff since it was a rest day.

Did 77# for thrusters and got a total of 64 in the 20 mins. I did 4 in the first 3 rounds, 3 in rounds 4-19 and then 4 in the last round. Thrusters felt pretty good surprisingly. I was getting 8-10 seconds rest after each set of thrusters before starting the burpees which helped. I don't know what another 10 minutes would have done to me on this WOD. It was tough, but I liked doing it. It probably helped that I was well rested today.

  8. Sounds like fun and I would like to play, but have friends coming into town from San Diego who want to go to the Husker OU game.

    Stay classy Crossfit Omaha....

  10. Eric,
The football game is at 7PM and the med ball game is at 9AM. I may even be going to the game and I'm still gonna make the med ball tourn.

    Sounds fishy.

  12. med ball is an absolute blast! I wouldn't miss it for the world. I cannot wait. As for using the Huskers as an excuse, that's lame. :)

  14. i don't know what 'kalsu' stands for, but 'killsyou' seems more appropriate.
