  4. Today was my first day in the gym since last Sunday (had to go to Newark, New Jersey for work...yaaaay). While I was definitely jonesing for my fix I think it really did me some good to have an extended rest. This was the first time in a long time that nothing on me hurt.

    Made up the 6x3 push press and 6x3 back squats. 142# on PP (92.5%) which felt really, really good - I feel a new 1RM coming. 223ish# on BS - I say "ish" because I did 223 on my last set (92.5%) but the depth was a little on the shallow side. When we did 3x5 back squats a couple of weeks ago I had to bail on 205#, but today I got 205 no problem so I'm pretty pleased overall.

  6. Thanks for working with me today, Jess! Did back squat 6x3 and push jerk 3x2. Got up to my rx'd weight for squats, but only did 1 rep. All my weight ended up on my right leg and it made me nervous. Jerks felt good. Could have gone heavier. Great rest day.
