Push Press 1RM

followed by,

10 rounds for max pushups:
1/2 Gasser (53 yards there and back)
15/10 Pushups
30 seconds rest

You have 40 seconds to complete a full round of the 1/2 gasser and either 15 or 10 pushups (15 for guys/10 for gals) followed immediately by 30 seconds rest. When time is called, the round is over.

The goal is to try and accumulate all 150 pushups for guys/100 for gals.

Post total accumulated pushups to comments/logwod.

If you would like to stay with the 8AM class on Saturday mornings, you will have to be one of the first 20 that sends me an email (ricky.frausto@gmail.com). The next 15 to 20 will then fall into the 9AM class which will also follow normal programming.

If you email for 8AM or fall into the 9AM slot, you will still have the opportunity to come to either class but will have to find someone to switch with from the opposite class time. You may also inform the gym, through whiteboard, if you aren't going to be at the 8AM class for some reason.

I will have a check-off list so that I know who's in which class. This should put a hold on quality control and make sure that everyone is getting the attention they deserve and need, and keep classes fun and more organized.

    Got 134 on the Push press. Was gonna settle for 129, but because we had to wait to do the wod (too many people in such a small space!), I went and did 134. The wod was awful. I only got 45 pushups and i guess my hips were dragging on most of them. will work on that :)

    Really sore after yesterday. got 184# on push press, 80 pushups in the metcon (ouch).

  12. Got 97#on push press (pr), and 17 pushups with 5rnds of the metcon. The run was killing my shouder after the push press so I decided it was best to only do half the rounds. Now for some ice!!

    Got 48 push ups on metcon. That was a killer. Sure didn't seem like 10 pushups a round would be a big deal.

    I got 124# on push press- First time with the 1RM. Felt pretty good! Metcon-didn't feel so good. Running sucked as usual and pushup were OK with 69- Started with 10 in first round and then I worked my way down and was only able to get 5 or 6 the last 5 rds. Have a great day everyone and Good job on all the PR's today!!

  26. 130# - NOT a PR. My 3RM is 137, so I'm definitely not happy with that.

    Metcon - 68 pushups. I really thought 40 seconds was going to feel at least a little bit longer. :) Fairly happy with this - I was able to push the runs for most rounds and pushups were pretty decent for me.

    Getting frustrated with my 1RM performances - I feel like not having strength days took its toll. I'm glad they're back with a vengeance, and I'm ready to see the numbers start going up again.

    Got 77 pushups total; got 10 in each of the first 3 rounds, then 8,6,7,6,7,6,7 in each of the remaining rounds.

    Great job everyone; good to see a big class.

  30. 134 push press, a or by about 20lbs, so I was happy about that. I got 69 push ups in the metcon, but they were all done from the knees.

  32. Push Press 112, I think that is a PR for me. Tried 117 and it wasnt happening.

    Metcon was 80 I did some on my knees. probably about 1/3 of them IDK. First couple of rounds did them strict and then would do 50/50. Not sure if I should have done it that way or just stuck to strict.
