5 rounds:
3-Position Power Snatch (no squat)

After a thorough warm-up from each position individually (from the floor/below the knee/mid-thigh), begin the workout by performing all three movements consecutively (no putting the bar down until all 3 reps are done) for five rounds. This is to be considered a technique session where load on the bar is not all too important (go up in weight every set but emphasis is to be on technique) and rest is taken as needed between sets. This is your chance to better your snatch technique.

  4. today was my first snatch. i only got 55# but i felt like if i did anymore, my shoulder would pop. way to be 6 am! thanks for being prompt zack. good luck today guys. im going to ice my thumbs now...

  6. I got up to 140# on my 5th set but was unable to get all 3 without putting the bar down. I was able to get the full snatch and from second position but not from mid thigh. I was very happy to see a strength day today. Good luck all.

  16. I felt better today doing snatches than ever before. I guess it just takes 9 months to get the hang of it!
    I got up to 78 and did all 3 then I tried 83 and could only do it from the ground.
    The noon class looked really good! Great job!

  18. Today was the first time that I didn't hate the snatch ("that's what she said") Really though, something clicked today and I feel like I really made a big improvement. I got up to #132

    I'm off tomorrow so I'm going to try to be at the noon class. I hope to see some of you there!

  22. so these are a huge weakness and i really don't feel like i do them right. so i just worked on technique. i did some extra sets with lighter weights. i got up to 65, but did most of them at 55, and also worked on back squats. then did yesterday's workout.

  24. Really nothing 2 write about :( got up 2 63 but couldn't do all 3 moves. Very mental for me today. So 9 months is the key....guess I will keep practicing!
