Our little family has really improved in terms of both strength and technique and I see everyone getting better daily. The one thing I want to see more of is psychological discomfort. What I mean is I want to see more of us pushing to the limits when you don't think you can. You may not be interested in finishing first every workout but you should be interested in how you compete both against others and especially against yourself. I am not asking you to push to the point of puking but rather to that place that most people fear going. That place of the unkown. That place where the voice inside of your head starts to tell you, "Don't go there, just put the bar down and rest a little." Instead I want you to ask yourself, "How hard can I push during this workout irregardless of what is going to happen?" and then do it. Throw caution to the wind and go as hard as if you had money riding on it. In the end, us CrossFitters are a different group to begin with and do crazy things on a daily basis with some of the most difficult exercises so why not go all out with the effort as well (beyond what you are used to). You may just surprise yourself.
